Summary

In today’s episode, Emily wants to talk about connecting with others in your community and how special it is. It’s important to seek out in person community because there is so much value when you connect with others. You never know what’s waiting for you out there in your community. It takes work to get involved and can be uncomfortable. We’re so used to sharing our lives online. You have to put yourself out there and commit to this goal just like anything else in life. What does community look like for you? Is it a gym, a church, a class? It’s important to pick a place that is in alignment with your goals and what you want for your life and be intentional on what type of community you are pursuing. There will be times when you may not feel like you have the energy to put yourself out there, but it’s important to have discipline here, just like with anything else. It may take time but it is so worth it. Have an open mindset and remember, your people are out there. Put your phone down and get into in person community. That’s today’s message.

0:26.1	today's message. What you're looking for is in community. 2020 happened and we moved all of our
0:34.7	communities to online. And there have been so many incredible things that have
0:38.7	come out of that. A lot of people have connected with people that they would have otherwise never met.
0:43.8	They were able to gain mentorship and coaching and training from people and, you know, these
0:48.7	leaders that they probably would have never connected with in person. So it has been such a positive
0:53.5	blessing. It has been so
0:55.1	incredible to utilize all the good things of what technology and connecting with people all over
1:00.6	the world can do for us. But I believe that today's message for you guys is that what you're
1:05.9	looking for is in community. And I am talking about in person community. There is something so special about being in community. And I am talking about in-person community. There is something so special about
1:13.6	being in person with people, about connecting with other people that are in your community, in your
1:19.9	neighborhood, in your city, in your town. They have the same heart for the things that you have
1:25.0	heavy on your heart. And I think that there
1:27.7	are creative ideas, there are inspirations, there are partnerships, there are friendships, there is
1:34.0	love, there is so many things that's literally, it's like a gift that is wrapped with the most
1:40.2	beautiful bow and it's waiting for you in community. I think that the message that you guys need to hear today is that it's time to start getting an in-person community again.
1:50.0	If you were somebody that you know you were lacking community, you have to make it a priority of yours to start seeking out that community that you desire.
1:58.0	Because like I said, I just so see it and I so believe that there are
2:01.7	treasures just waiting for you in that community. Maybe you're somebody that needs a job.
