What is going on, everyone? Welcome to the fit, healthy, and most of all, happy podcast.

You're tuning in for another episode of Motivation Monday. And as always, I'm your host and coach Josh here with

0:11.3

his co-host and co-coach, KG, and I'm in the house. So we're going to jump right into quotes today

0:18.7

because I think we got some good ones. What do you got, Kyle?

0:57.6

This week on Motivation Monday, one of my clients had said this in a check-in this past weekend. And she had said, every night when you go to bed, review your greatest success of the day, no matter how trivial. And I don't know where she got it from. She said someone had mentioned it to her. And I was like, I need to write this down right now because I think it's so, so, so important. And even one of our last Instagram posts, we were talking about how, you know, being grateful is just one of the most important things. And I keep going back to it. I keep going back to that concept of like how it's impossible to be frustrated and grateful at the same

0:55.2

time. And I think a lot of times when we focus on the day, we're always focused on the negative.

0:59.6

And in this quote, you know, we're telling you to review your greatest success no matter how

1:03.5

trivial. And it's just even if it's small, even if it's something like I did a 20 minute workout

1:08.4

or I did like just it doesn't have to be massive and I think sometimes

1:12.1

people are looking for like a huge success versus like those small little things like oh I can't

1:17.8

think of too many examples but like it can be trivial it can be small just every night before you go

1:22.1

to bed practice the habit write it down think about it and it'll help you you know just within

1:27.2

every aspect of your life yeah and I have all different kinds of clients with all different kind of goals, and I really try to set a goal specific to where they are. Some people come in, they can do everything perfect, they can push to a different level. And some other people, it's like, hey, let's just focus on, you know, getting more protein in our diet. Let's focus on,

2:01.0

you know, hitting these three workouts and really giving it our all. And, you know, if you're somebody does zero workouts and you start by doing two workouts a week, that is a significant improvement. Of course, it's not all the way where you'd like to be, but it's all about making these meaningful steps and leaps in your journey. And if you can reflect on these small wins, you'll be more motivated to keep going. Whereas if you're the type of person, it's like, oh, I'm not doing perfect, hack with this, screw this, you're just going to get down on yourself and you're probably going to end up quitting where that person who's inch and away is still making that forward progress. Awesome. Yeah, very, very well said. I think it's just something a lot of people need to start doing and you know I try to do it.

2:18.4

It's very easy to get caught up in the big stuff, but, you know, focus on the small stuff too. Yeah. And even to add on to that, I was watching, you know, a motivational video this morning. And I forget who it was. It was one of the Denzel's, the actor, Washington or something. Yeah, I think so. Probably. But he was saying was saying how you know you can't be scared

2:35.8

can't be scared to fail um how he had a 1.8 GPA he went to school to be a pre-med then he went to school

2:42.3

to study law then that didn't work and he went to study journaling and then eventually the university

2:46.6

he's like hey we don't think this is for you you should just quit basically and um you, he went on and he said his whole thing was not to be scared of failure. And if he failed and fall, and he fell, rather, he would want to fall forward. You know, he'd want to fall at least in a journey, making progress and going forward. And obviously, he kept hacking at it. And he made, you know significant strides uh towards being a very

3:08.1

successful person and being an incredible actor and if he just defined his journey is you know i'm

3:13.0

worthless in school i got no motivation um you know i'm not going to get anywhere that's not what you

3:17.8

want whatsoever at all basically a little tongue tie but you get the gist of it and case and point

3:23.8

don't be afraid to
