Summary

Pleasure and happiness are two things we strive for in life. Pleasure comes in many obvious forms, like sex and money, but we wanted to dive deeper into what we find pleasurable and why. As we discuss pleasure and happiness, we also talk about hedonic adaptation - the idea that regardless of what events happen to us in life, we will return to a baseline emotional state. Knowing that, we can navigate life in a way that brings us as many pleasures as possible, without over indulging or getting bored. Last week, we talked about rejection.
