Back in 2018, when Commune was barely out of the

womb, we asked Marianne if she would teach a course, and she said yes, and it's a course I have

never taught before. I want to speak to anyone who is out there teaching spirituality or trying

to help people, and I want to share the wisdom

I have collected over my 35 years of being a teacher. That course became our 10-day program

teaching the teachers, and what you are about to hear is a collection of excerpts from that

course. There are many different roles that have to do with the conveyance

of spiritual information. Now, you might be a psychotherapist or a coach or clergy. You might be a yoga

teacher or an inspirational speaker. Or you might be aspiring or in training to be any of the above.

All of those roles include the transmission of spiritual information.

And for that transmission to be meaningful and impactful, it must come from a profound

and authentic place within you.

This training aims to deepen students' understanding of spirituality

and their devotion to their practice. And it also serves as a guide to help teachers convey

principles with depth and clarity. According to Marianne, the spiritual life is not when you are

making something happen. The spiritual life is not when you are making something happen.

The spiritual life is where you're allowing everything to happen.

This idea girds Marianne's emphasis on both listening and prayer,

two topics that she addresses in these lessons.
