0:22.3	the Gia Tolentino here today. Before I read her bio, I need to tell Gia, one of my favorite

0:36.4	since we have never met. And most of our experiences have been extremely one-sided. But I have a group,
0:44.3	I have a few groups, you know how we all have those groups of women that we have on text or
0:48.8	unzoom where when shit happens, we just kind of check in with each other. So there's this one group
0:54.4	of smart people who we check in with each other whenever shit hits the fan in the world. So a lot
1:01.3	of times, which is happening with some regularity. Yes. And there is this one recurring thing that people
1:06.4	often say, which is kind of like a what would Jesus do situation, which you'll know from your,
1:12.8	we both have evangelical pasts. Certainly do. Certainly do. But ours is more like what did Gia
1:20.4	write? And it's real. It's real. Somebody will say it. What would Gia write? And it kind of works
1:27.6	because you can say like, Gia'sus, so it like goes, Gia'sus. Yeah, which I know you're going to
1:32.8	really love. But if we have one complaint, it's that we often have to wait a long time for
1:41.2	a Gia'sus take and we're mad now. Okay. So like, we'll have to wait for a New Yorker piece to come
1:48.9	out or sometimes we get lucky and you're on a podcast. But it takes a while. And that's annoying.
1:55.5	And so one time one of the women in the group said, well, what did Gia'sus write? And I was thinking
2:03.1	for a while and I thought, you guys, what if Gia'sus is trying to tell us something? Like what if
2:10.7	what if we're supposed to ink hard and do research? What if you're your own personal Gia? What if
2:19.7	I have I do have a Jesus inside of me who can stay calm and cool and collected and like think hard
2:27.3	and keep an open mind and open heart and interview people and then come to a nuanced conclusion
2:35.2	and a month later. And when my favorite group they thought for a while and my friend said,
2:40.9	fuck that. We don't have time. I'm mad now. What do we tweet?
