Back in the 70s and 80s and even later on, radio was an important part of our life here in Israel.

Back then, TV sets had barely started making their way into the Israeli living room, and the radio was on all the time so I have strong

childhood memories of radio show jingles and the voices of Shadarim

radio anchors. This was our breakfast soundtrack for example. So imagine little me coming down from my room to have an omelet, salad, olives, toast, cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice.

Crazy I know.

This is not an episode about nostalgia.

Israelis spend many hours commuting and therefore we are exposed to a lot of radio especially

actualia which loosely translates as news items and this happens in cars taxis

buses the famous chorut, shared taxis, it's hard to get away from it.

So today we're going to learn cool radio-related words.

The idea for this topic came to me yesterday as I was in a taxi where the driver at first but when the Pirseumot started I started to breathe
