The topic today is you can always make things worse. I could

title it 10 easy ways to make things worse, but the truth is there are an

infinite number of ways you can make things worse and 10

would just limit us too much.

First of all what am I saying? Well, in any difficult or bad or hard situation, you can

always say or do something that will make the bad situation even worse than it already is.

And the amazing thing is how often this happens.

You've done this yourself, no doubt. I think we all have and you could have had it done to you

which undoubtedly we've all experienced as well. So how does this work and why do we do this?

Well, first of all, it makes no sense and sin never makes any sense, so there's no way to answer

that question of why.

But we can still talk about it. Whenever God gives us a bump in the road

whether it is a big serious bump or a relatively minor one, we are to steward it

with wisdom. It can be the smallest little annoyance, but if we

respond with more annoyance, we can cause the thing to grow. Our poor stewardship can inflate the difficulty to ridiculous

proportions. The once small annoyance is compounded by bigger annoyances and a bad attitude, a complaining

attitude, a grumbling, crabby, bickering fault-finding attitude will get things so tangled up that it is near impossible to sort it all out and

who wants to anyway? A fool shows his annoyance at once.
