Welcome to the feminine podcast. This is Nancy Wilson. Thanks so much for joining me today.

0:11.0

I recently read a quote somewhere and of course I don't remember where it was

0:15.1

but it was really good and the gist of it was this. The author said he

0:20.8

learned to be more concerned about his own sanctification instead of the

0:26.2

sanctification of others.

0:28.1

And I just thought this was such a good reminder because it's much easier to see the defects of others than those of our very own, right?

0:38.0

We can become distracted with their need for sanctification rather than those areas in our own lives

0:45.1

where our growth seems stunted. Those areas we just miss we do not see. So first let's just define sanctification. It's the process of growing

1:46.6

We should be aware of our own sanctification, growing in Christ, and doing all we can on our end to be faithful.

1:56.6

So obviously it's a lot easier to see how others are not quite living up to their Christian duties or they're not living up to our

2:05.2

expectations of their Christian duties.

2:09.4

And like I said, we're supposed to be paying more attention to what God is written large on the blackboard of our own lives.

2:16.0

Oh that?

2:17.0

Well, I'm working on it, or I'll get around to it when I'm older, or when I have more time.

2:22.0

We have plenty of excuses or we think it's not as bad perhaps as all that. Whatever the case, especially I think in our own families or dear friends or maybe even just
