Where we teach you four rules to help you stop living paycheck to paycheck, get out of

debt and save more money. There's an interesting little rule change that we've made here.

It hasn't really changed much of anything.

What we used to call Learn to Live on last month's income.

We're now saying age your money. The tie to the month, the

tied to the income, paycheck cycles, all of that gave us reason to pause and think,

okay, what is it we want people to achieve?

What is the principle behind this rule?

Not the mechanic, but the principle.

And the principle is, we want you away

from the financial edge.

We want you to stop living paycheck to paycheck. Now, paycheck to paycheck

for everyone is very different. If you're sharing finances you might have a

partner that gets paid weekly that gets tips that gets paid once a month

every other week twice a month it goes all over the place someone's a freelancer

they sell houses, who knows.

So tying it to that whole idea of paycheck to paycheck

is problematic because everyone's situation is different.

So in the idea that we want to embrace here though is to back away from the financial edge.

Be able to budget a month ahead.

Be able to sit down and say, I want my money to do all these things this month I want to
