No, it isn't.

But if money's in the way of everything,

then it does start to feel like

everything's about the money.

Let's talk today about Rule 3. We talked about Rule 1, two weeks ago,

give every dollar a job, follow your priorities. Rule 2, where you take larger, less frequent expenses.

You make the monthly bills. You embrace your true expenses. That's the name of the rule.

To embrace, not accept, but to embrace. Hug. If you don't like one of them, don't hug them.

You know, get rid of them. But embrace the fact that your

expenses are higher than you probably thought. Rule three, it's a strange one because we

had to make a rule for it but when you want to change

your budget change it it's called roll with the punches like a boxer that takes a swing

and you move your face in the same direction as the boxers

punch so that you lessen the blow.

Now it's interesting to think that we're having to make a rule to tell you to change the budget if you want to, but we do.

For some reason, you all feel like if you set the budget yesterday to be a hundred dollars for something and then today you realize

that $100 was insufficient, you just think budgets don't work.

No, what didn't work was your foresight, your ability to predict the future, your data was bad,

and we do that all over the place everywhere else.
