It sucks and it definitely makes you grateful for what you do have. People used to come up to me all the time and look at my one hand with the bad as you go, oh man, you got a bad hand. I got a good hand. You're focusing on the wrong thing. A huge thing that helped me was like when I first hurt my hand, I was so upset about it. And then I started going back to like all the hands surgeons all over the country. And you wind up like in these like specialty centers with all these other people, and they all had it worse. Like burns from head to toe, guys with no legs, guys that lost their whole hands. Like, there was so much worse stuff that you were like, all right, you know what I mean? Like, this sucks, but like, it definitely could have been worse. And I try and when I get crabby about stuff or I get weird about stuff,

I try and always remember that quote.

I cry when I had no shoes

until I met the man with no feet.

Because it puts things into perspective,
