Summary
In today's Monday Message, Emily talks about the new year ahead being a fresh start for you. Whether 2021 was a good year for you or a bad year, you have the opportunity to have a clean slate with this new year. It's time to identify anything that is holding you back or causing you to have limiting beliefs, and let it go. If you're not happy with the life you are living, you've got to make small changes everyday and create the life you truly want. Just as seeds need water to grow into beautiful plants, you need to water the seeds you are planting for your life. Open your eyes to what's in front of you and the opportunities you've been given each day just by waking up. From all of us at the show, Happy New Year, stay safe and we'll see you in 2022!

| 0:00.0 | Hello, everyone and welcome to the Evolve with Emily Show. I'm your host, Emily Hayden, |
| 0:19.2 | and you are listening to the last |
| 0:21.6 | message of 2021. Every single Monday, I bring a message of the day to you guys. So here's today's |
| 0:28.7 | message. You were just gifted with the most incredible opportunity. You were just gifted with the |
| 0:35.7 | opportunity of a fresh start. Of a new chance chance of a chance to go again, to simply try again. |
| 0:43.3 | So regardless if you had the best year of your life in 2021 or if you had one of the hardest years of your life in 2021, you have just now been gifted an opportunity to have a clean slate, a new chance, a new opportunity to go at this thing called life again. |
| 1:00.0 | I lost one of my best friends a couple of years ago on Christmas Day, and I think about the year before that, and I think about him ending that year, preparing for the next year, and having no idea |
| 1:12.1 | that that was his last year on earth. So think about that for yourself. What if this next year |
| 1:17.9 | is your last year to do everything that you recall to do on this earth? What if this next year is |
| 1:24.3 | the last year of somebody that you love? What would you do with that time? How would you |
| 1:30.3 | appreciate that time? I think there's a lot of people that they take time and they take life for |
| 1:35.7 | granted. They simply think that there's plenty of it. They think that there's an abundance of it |
| 1:40.9 | and they think that their time's never going to come. But the truth is all of our |
| 1:45.1 | clocks run out at a certain amount of time, right? All of our clocks have a certain set date and |
| 1:49.7 | our time is going to come one way or another. And so will the people that we love. And I hope that |
| 1:55.7 | you don't see this as a like doomsday message. It's not what it's intended to be whatsoever. But I hope that you see it as |
| 2:02.0 | just a way to have more gratitude for your life in general, have more gratitude for the people around you, |
| 2:08.5 | to never take anything for granted. There are so many people that have so many great things in their |
| 2:14.0 | lives and they simply just choose to focus on the negative and choose to focus |
| 2:18.0 | on the fact that it was one of the hardest years of their life. And so they bring more of that |
| 2:21.9 | into their year and into their life. Instead of recognizing, yeah, I went through some hard shit. |
| 2:27.0 | Everybody does. But how can I allow that hard season of my life to make me better? What have I |
