Whether it's frugality or spending in the moment because your kids are young and you need to spend for child care or certain activities,

you also sometimes need to choose what works in that moment and what works in that moment may not work in the future.

So for me, for example, so the concept of financial independence

and being completely financially independent

is that you don't have to actively work for money,

you have enough investments, and passive income from those

investments to help support your expenses.
