Was it always a dream of yours to join the FBI?

It was. And I'm always amazed when I hear stories from other retired

agents or agents that say oh I just fell into it I just happened into it but that

wasn't the case for me I knew I wanted to do something in law enforcement. It all started when my mother was reading Helter-Skelter about the Manson murders and she told me I was too young to read it I think I was in middle

school and I took it and read it anyway and I was hooked and I only wanted to read true crime

cases how they were solved I'd go sit in the bookstores until I read every single book on the shelf.

And then I got interested in forensic science and majored in chemistry and college and I worked in a crime lab prior to joining the

FBI but I always knew like someday I want to go into the FBI and eventually I did

and I applied and got in and that was that was a dream come true.
