Okay, for those of you listening to this episode, I need you to forgive me.

Because this is going to be hard.

I guess I should just rip the bandaid off.

Yesterday morning, my father passed away.

And I feel bad releasing this episode because I know so many of you listen to this show to be motivated

to push yourselves to accomplish your goals and so on so forth but I've always stood

by the idea that this show is about more than just hustle. It's about more than just career.

It's about what I call these six pillars of your life. It's about your career, your finances, your fitness, your health, your

emotional health and your relationships. And this episode is important.

It's important for me to be completely honest.

It's a very selfish thing because I think that recording this will help me.

But the reason I'm releasing it is because I think there's a chance it can help somebody else who

may be now going through something similar or may go through that thing in the future.

So again, forgive me, but this has to happen.

My intention here is to document. document my struggle with this.

However many episodes ago, I mentioned that my father was diagnosed with lung cancer.

This was probably about five months ago.

And it's been a tough struggle and things looked positive.

Like he made it through a really, really aggressive round of treatment,

both radiation and chemo, radiation five days a week,

chemo one day a week.

He made it through all of that and was in recovery. It wasn't
