And we are going to do our best in these next few months to get you up to date on every single rookie you need to know about for Dynasty, for redraft, for Keeper Leagues. We're doing deep dives. We're trying to keep them short. Well, short relative to Beyond the Box Score standards. And today we're talking about wide receiver Carnell Tate, and this is a fun one for me.

Both Jacob and I equally said individually, we can't wait to record this one because that was fun

tape to watch.

And I can see in my head, I can envision what's going to happen at the next level with Tate.

But where do you want to start with this receiver at Ohio State?

I want to start by just contextualizing for people how insane Jeremiah Smith is. And maybe that feels like silly to focus on him and not the person we're actually talking about today, which is

Carnal Tate. But truly like any data that you're looking at with Tate, I think you have to think

about what's happening here and who he's playing with. I mean, this is a freaking prospect, Jeremiah Smith that people are comparing to Julio Jones and stuff like that. It's not like, you know, Ohio State always has, you know, good receivers, you know, Garrett Wilson and those guys like that, you know, his why isn't Tate's stats as good as theirs or whatever it's like no i really do think

this is different what he's doing i think it's pretty easy what uh smith is doing i think it's pretty

easy to contextualize that so i'm going to show you some stats here looking at jeremiah smith as a

19 year old compared to you know the peaks of these Ohio state receivers. Jeremiah Smith,

ma'am, I can't, I can't get over this, too. Here we go. Jeremiah Smith, 31% target per route

run rate this past year at 19 years old. That is higher than we've gotten from anybody other than Marvin Harrison, Jr.

and Chris Alave in a shortened season with a much smaller sample size.

But basically, Marvin Harrison Jr. at his best, I think it was year three or year four,

has pushed above that.

We're looking at the round one receivers for Ohio State for his career and 3.6 yards

per out run by the way.

So like Jackson Smith, the jig busy, only Ohio State receiver who's been as high as

Jeremiah Smith is in his second season there as a true sophomore.

But I start with the target around right because they are just funneling everything through Smith.

And when you watch the offense, that's so clear.
