Could Jordan Tyson be a wide receiver one in the NFL?

That's what we're going to talk about today.

If his collegiate metrics are any indication, the answer definitely seems like it could be yes.

We've got some really interesting data here on Tyson.

If you're watching on the YouTube channel here, on your screen here, you see Jordan Tyson

accounted for 65% of the receiving touchdowns while on the field, whether

that was at Arizona State or Colorado. He accounted for 47% of the team's receiving yards

while on the field. So there's definitely some context needed when digging into a stat

like this. So this stat obviously does relate to the talent on the team, the wide receiver

talent, tight-in talent, the other players you're competing for with targets. So you'll see,

you know, Carnotate is quite low in this stat because, you know, he plays next to one of the best wide receiver prospects we've ever seen. These Alabama receivers, Devante Smith, Jerry Judy, James and William's very low on this stat. Garrett Wilson, Chris Alabe at Ohio State, rank low in this stat, which, you know, honestly, this makes it even more insane that Jamar Chase is up here at three. But what I've got here is the receivers who have been drafted top 15 dating back to

2017, and it's sorted by the percentage of receiving yard. So we're going to spend a little bit of time

here just looking at these numbers. I'm going to dig into the film as well. I watched a ton of

Tyson, all of his 24 and 25 games that weren't against, you know, small, small schools.

Really, really interesting prospect, a nuanced topic, really to dig into all the layers here

with Tyson.

So the first thing that stands out to me is 40% of the team's receptions while on the field.

Malik Nabilms and Mackay Liman are the only other players on this list that are above 30%.

You know, Jamar Chase comes in here at 26%. That's where a lot of these receivers are is 20 to 30%.

So clearly, Tyson was the offense for Arizona State. And the other metric that stands out is the 60% reception rate. So 60%

catch rate is lower than everybody else on the screen here. He did have a deep average

depth of target. That's this number here on the left. 13.3 yard average depth of target is
