So I've been this fantasy football league, we're 20 plus years.

This is the first year we decided to do a group text.

We've had it for 24 hours and somebody already quit.

Oh no. Todd and this is the Chuck Podcast. So back in February you may recall I brought together

Mark Murray, Bridget Bowman, and Ben Kamsar to run a virtual draft of the

2024 Senate races. This is the political unit of NBC News. I am a

emeritus member of the political unit I guess is the best way to call it. But

we had a little fun and you know we each had to draft and we'll go through the rules here in a minute but we've got our teams we've kept them here

We had a draft of toss-up races than it was And you picked candidates that you had,

then you had your lean Democratic races,

your lean Republican races, and your long shot.

So we all have a team of four candidates

for our Senate races competing against each other but look the Senate map has changed somewhat

primary season is basically over it we say basically New Hampshire's got some House primaries

next week but the general election has started in most of these

battle-run Senate races so we wanted to bring back the political unit. Review our

choices from earlier in the year and see if we wanted to make any trades or more

importantly pick up any free agent candidates.

I can tell you there's a couple of really good hot free agents on there.

Anyway in February we did four rounds and as I said we each pick a candidate or party we think

will win that seat and I again toss-up races were the first round lean likely
