But one more episode here to close off the week of first thoughts, today looking

at the Carolina Panthers new head coach in Frank Reich, new offensive coordinator

in Thomas Brown.

We have a couple important things to talk about in what has been a bit of a murky offseason

for the Panthers so far.

So Frank Reich was brought in as the head coach. He goes and

hires offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, and they draft quarterback Bryce Young, first

overall in the draft. These are the three focal points of the episode. Interesting article

comes out just a couple of weeks ago, and it says that the offensive coordinator head coach relationship between Frank Reich and Thomas Brown is not kumbaya.

And that was a quote taken directly from Frank Reich, who was asked about the working conditions with Thomas Brown.

And the big problem that is beginning to brew is Thomas Brown comes over from the Los Angeles Rams.

He's a Sean McVeigh coaching tree disciple.

But Frank Reich, of course, is a longtime offensive mind within the NFL.

And Frank said, yeah, at one level, it's not easy

because the offense, it's your baby. But you understand, hey, we're adopting someone. This is

going to make our family bigger and stronger. And that's really the approach we've taken.

And it has. I respect Thomas's football mind. I respect who he is as a person. We've had a number of disagreements,

and sometimes I'll say, okay, Thomas, you've won that one. We're going to do it your way.

Sometimes it's, you know what? We're going to do it the old way, my way. And it's just been a
