I want to begin by discussing what we mean by developmental stages of growth, So let's start there.

You're familiar, I'm sure, with the idea of grade level

and scope and sequence, right, Noah?

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, so what normally happens with homeschool families is parents are looking for

curricula that matches whatever grade level their child is in. So a third grader

will have a third grade workbook and a third grade textbook.

But what happens if you have a child who is, quote,

third grade level, but their writing is not actually

up to the level that that textbook is expecting.
