Brave Rider. Hi Noah. Hi everybody it's great to be here. It's great to have you.

So you just ran your second marathon.

Yeah, that's right, I did. In fact, in 2011, I ran the marathon in Cincinnati for the first time,

and this past weekend, I got to run it again. We call it the

flying pig out here. Cincinnati is called Porcopolis because they love

pork and bacon so much. So the name of this marathon is the flying pig and it was built around the idea of that metaphor that says when pigs fly meaning you know you'll finally take on this brave, huge endeavor the day that pigs fly.

So this was my second marathon, had a great time.

Oh, really good.

I enjoyed it. It was hot and it was hard and it was hard and strangely as I was telling you

earlier I realized that I had four and a half hours, you know, I could feel my

breathing. It was hot and humid, but I still found myself thinking about

Brave Rider and thinking about all of you. There is something about the journey of homeschooling that reminds me of a marathon.

You have to pace yourself, you have to think really hard about the distant goal that you're heading towards and not get bogged down in any

particular mile of the journey. And it's really important that you don't sprint, you know, work too hard too fast and burn yourself out and lose

momentum but it's also important that you keep going because if you stop too soon

your body goes into recovery mode. Once you're in that mode, you lose your momentum.

So what you want to achieve in a marathon is a sustainable pace, where you keep the long-term distance in mind, but you know exactly how much energy

you can expend each of the miles.
