Welcome to Through the Bible, where our teacher, Dr. J. Vernon McGee, begins with the passage that I just read from 2 Peter chapter 2, verse 1.

I'm Steve Schwartz, your host on this five-year journey through the entire Word of God, and I'm so glad that you're here as we come to a study

that will help us understand how to quickly identify a false teacher and recognize their

deception. But first, Greg and I have got an update on how God's word is reaching the Hmong

people in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and all over the world. This is such an exciting ministry, Steve.

Through the Bible, the Hmong ministry started in 2012 with speaker boxes and SD cards and

groups of people listening.

They aren't, they were not, we don't call them radio home groups.

Yeah, that was pre-radio home group. I think the Holy the holy spirit had that idea yeah and then we've just organized it in different

forms but uh they're also beginning to uh distribute through apps and mobile hotspots

i mean the the folks in vietnam and and the surrounding countries are incredibly resourceful with technology. And just before we jump

into some testimonies, it's not an easy place to be a Christian. There's a lot of persecution.

People have to often hide from the government, the activities that they're doing. And so as we

hear these testimonies, let's remember that many of these people, it's hard to get

testimonies because they're afraid to speak out publicly because of the persecution.

Yeah, well, here's our first letter, Greg, since we're getting to these testimonies from Lee,

a church elder in Thailand. Our village is deep in the countryside, with rough roads and no access
