The first section of Isaiah that Nephi wanted us to grapple with has come to an end.

Okay?

Isaiah two, three, four, five.

All one chapter in Nephi's writing.

It's come together now and he's going to make the pivot to the second part.

The first part let us know how we got into this mess. The second part is going to start moving

us into how we're going to get out of it and it revolves around a righteous remnant.

That's what we're going to be looking for.

How do we preserve, amidst all of this wickedness, all of these woes woes all this worldliness and sins of omission

at the expense of the poor all of our seeking for military might and laying up horses and chariots all are seeking of worldly

wealth and are laying up of gold and treasures grinding and beating the poor all

along the way oh no there's going to be, forget all that. That will be, I mean while we're winnowing grain, that's going to be scattered to the wind.

But there will be some colonels that remain on the threshing floor.

There will be a righteous remnant around which I can collect a kingdom.

It will be this group of the stalwart, the faithful, the unshaken, that

God will perform a marvelous work and a wonder to gather the rest of the family back home into the covenant, into the

tabernacle, the covert from Storm and for rain, to start that upward flow back to the mountain of the Lord's house.

That's everything that Nephi has been banking on.

Remember this is personal to him.

He's part of this branch that's been cut off from the old world Israel and he's growing in a new land but will God remember us on the aisles of the sea? Will he bring us back? If so, how will he do it?

Ah, through a righteous remnant.

Which reminds him of Isaiah.
