in Lafayette, Louisiana. Verse 5, for indeed when we came to Macedonia,

our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears.

Nevertheless, God who comforts the downcast comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not only by

his coming, but also by the consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of

your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.

So now he's talking about how they've brought him joy specifically, right?

So he says, we're having all

these troubles in Macedonia, right? Talk about the Roman province of Macedonia. Say we've been

having all these hassles. All these problems is outside. On the outside there's trouble and then on the

inside, meaning on his, he's had his own worries and fears and doubts,

right, about what's going on.

And in all these struggles, St. Titus, right, who he's later going to write a letter to,

came from Corinth and sort of gave him an update, right, on what was going on there after

things had gone badly.

He got this update update and this update

encouraged him is what he said encouraged him and brought him comfort because he talked about

three things their earnest desire that's the desire to be reconciled the fact that you want to put

things back together right which is a big thing.
