Remington has just settled with four adults or seven adults and four kids who were shot at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The parents of these kids and the

adults had filed a lawsuit against Remington, the people that manufactured that AR-15, that assault-type

weapon, and they had argued that Remington was at least partially responsible for the death of those

kids. Remington had argued they're not responsible.

And as a matter of fact, there is a Supreme Court case that specifically says that gun manufacturers

are not responsible for deaths or injury as a result of using their weapons by bad guys.

Well, the families went beyond that and said,

hang on a minute. It was obvious that this kid who shot him up was in trouble, knew about it,

and here's an argument that actually makes sense. This is not a weapon for target shooting,

a weapon for particularly self-defense. This is the only thing

this is for it to kill people. That's what these assault weapons are about. And to argue that

that was self-protection, the Heller case, for example, out of Detroit, in which the court said

you're allowed a weapon in your home to protect yourself.

That's a pistol.
