Why do we need to hear from any politicians right now?

Why do we need to hear from a senator Nelson from Florida? He doesn't know anything.

Why do we need to hear from a senator from Connecticut who's running around talking about gun control?

Why do we need to hear from any of these politicians?

Why do the media in this country think that that relates in some relevant way to this shooting that took place in Broward County, Florida, at the Marjorie Stomman Douglas High School in Parkland?

Now the effects have stayed essentially the same for the last couple of hours.
