archaeologist. Amanda Hope Haley, welcome. Thank you. Thank you for being here. This will be a fun one.

Yes. Okay. So never spoken to an archaeologist ever in my life, Amanda. Can you tell the listeners

how you got interested in this field? You also an astronomy lover like you are a nature

lover, love being outside. How does someone become an archaeologist? Wow. Very circuitous

method for me, I would say. To begin with, at least in Tennessee, and I think this is true

nationwide, in public public schools the only ancient

history that is taught is during the sixth grade and that was even true way back

when even when I was in the sixth grade so I actually have this photograph of me

that a teacher took of me doing my first dig like she like set up little boxes

for us and put layers in there. And so in sixth

grade I was first introduced to it. And I enjoyed it. It was fun. We've read a book called

Motel of Mysteries. And it's a it's a funny, it's a funny satirical type book. And it's by

a man named David McCauley who is really an artist and he
