We've created a culture where the pathway to power comes from permanent victimhood.

So you need to find a way to be a victim. We're all busy doing that because it

creates an opportunity. But the gospel gives us another message.

That the power of God was demonstrated on our part

not to make us a victim, but to deliver us.

That in spite of our weaknesses, in spite of our failures, in spite of the sin that's touched

our lives, there's a power present to redeem us, to lift us, to transform us.

It's the message of the gospel.

Now it has to be lived out in our culture.

It can't be lived out in some theoretical construct of Bible studies.
