The topic today is the Fellowship of the Grievance. I think my

husband may have come up with this name years ago when we first noticed it.

Someone has a grievance, airs it, and gathers like-minded others who have the same

grievance, and they fellowship around it, forming a group. So first, let's just define grievance. It's pretty straightforward. A grievance is a

complaint. But the Bible says, Philippians 2, 14, 15, if you want to read the whole passage, but says, do all things without

complaining and disputing.

The King James says do all things without murmurings and disputings.

And here are a few synonyms for complaining.

Grumbling, whining, belly-yaking, accusing, disapproving, moaning.

Doesn't sound like a very nice group to be part of, does it?

But unfortunately, women can gather around for fellowship with all kinds of complaints.

I'm sure you've seen it on Facebook, if not in person.

A woman airs her complaint on Facebook or to her study group or prayer meeting, maybe even on a church. her

and other women gather around in the comments saying,

yeah, I agree.

And it can be over the most trivial things, or it can be over the most trivial things or it can be over important things.

In both cases this is not profitable. Why? Because if it is a trivial thing, then you should not be complaining about it.

And if it is a big important thing, then there are better ways to deal with it,

which I will get to in a minute. Often, it's about something in the church or the church community that doesn't

suit them or it could be something in a book or podcasts that they disagree with or
