To automate or not to automate your money. Should you automate this or that? Should I put

my bills on auto pay? Should I import my transactions? Should you directly just connect to banks and import them automatically

daily on your behalf?

Here's what I do now. We want your awareness, high, we want tedium low, we want you making solid decisions, we don't want you deciding how to do the bookkeeping,

the tedium, we want you deciding how to spend your money, the awareness. There is a degree

of tedium that's necessary, especially when you're first getting started.

And then that tedium all just kind of should go away.

And the real work isn't the categorization, isn't the reconciling, isn't the transaction entry.

The real work, the stuff that actually matters is the decision-making.

Should I quit my job because of what the budget is telling me here?

You're having this innocent budget meeting, maybe you and your spouse and it's like, oh, okay, blah,

la, la, la, and nothing's like, oh okay, blah, la la,

and nothing's exciting, nothing's new.
