Summary

In 2005, Natalee Holloway and the graduating class of Mountain Brook High School took the trip of a lifetime to Aruba. In the early hours of May 30th, the day they were all set to return home, Natalee is no where to be found and will never be seen again. The last person who was allegedly with her was a man by the name of Joran Van Der Sloot. Exactly 5 years later in Peru, the beaten body of Stephany Flores Ramirez is found in a hotel room. That room is registered to... Joran Van Der Sloot. ---- twitter: @apexandabyss instagram: @apexandabyss email: apexandabyss@gmail.com ---- Links: patreon.com/apexandabyss https://www.zazzle.com/apexandabyss https://apexandabyss.threadless.com/ ---- Music: Kai Engel - Changing Reality Ars Sonor - Efterdyningen Broke For Free - Wash Out ---- Special Thanks: Logos by Ski - @logosbyski

It's very easy to tell a lie.

0:13.0

People do it every day, even in the simplest of circumstances.

For instance, you make plans with your friends weeks in advance and the

day finally arrives and you just don't feel like going for one reason or another. So versus

disappointing them by saying the truth, you just say I'm not feeling well, to get out of it.

0:35.0

Because who argues with someone when they say they feel ill?

0:39.2

We've all done it. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

But this type of lie, or a white lie, as it's commonly referred to, is pretty harmless.

0:50.1

Some people also lie to save a person's feelings. A loved one can go really out of their way to make you a nice dinner,

0:57.0

and it just doesn't taste good.

But you don't want to be rude,

1:02.0

so despite each bite being a struggle to get through,

1:05.0

you say it was delicious.

1:07.0

And lastly, the most common lie of all, the I'm fine, when you most certainly are not fine.

1:17.7

My point is, lying is a very common occurrence. Sometimes people feel lying is needed while others just do it habitually.

1:26.6

For no rhyme or reason, everything that comes

1:29.0

out of their mouth is wriggled with falsehoods. For some, it is something compulsive in nature,

1:35.4

almost instinctual to just not tell the truth. Constantly lying comes with its consequences,

1:41.4

however. A web of lies can cause so much confusion that it just continues to grow and get bigger and bigger

1:49.5

until the person telling the lie doesn't even know what the truth is anymore.
