Genzo Corita was born on November 3, 1926, in Akita Prefecture, Japan.

Little is known about his childhood.

He was the third of 12 children born to unnamed parents,

and reports claimed that he suffered from a childhood abuse

before being drafted into the Imperial Japanese Army in 1944 when he was just 18.

He served during World War II and was subjected to horrible violence and death that left him

traumatized.

It is believed by experts that, if he had never served time in the military, he may have walked

away and lived a normal life.

That was, unfortunately, not the case.

When he was just 22, he murdered two girlfriends, and, on August 8, 1951, he murdered a 24-year-old

woman as she lay beside her baby.
