Summary

We are shaking things up today by bringing you a male voice from the therapy, personal development, relationship, and parenting space. Our guest, Eli Weinstein, is a Dad of two and a psychotherapist that isn’t afraid to give it to people straight. He has an honest, blunt, but always kind style.

Eli has been working as a therapist for over eight years and shares some of the struggles he has faced since becoming a Dad. Him and his wife have experienced loss and infertility and Eli shares what that is like to go through as a Dad.

As women, we often ask ourselves if Dad’s ever feel the mental load? Eli shares his perspective on this and what advice he has for women who are feeling the mental load burden. We cover the topic of postpartum mood disorders in men, what it’s like to be the starting player versus the bench warmer in parenthood, and how we have to be able to switch on and off as the preferred parent even when our children aren’t as comfortable with it.

You guys are always asking us for more episodes that center around a male’s perspective. This one's for you. You are going to want to share this with your male partner as well as any friend that you think might benefit from this episode!
