Hello, my beautiful beans and welcome to the episode of today. Today, it's a very serious episode

and it is all about coercive control. What is coercive control? How to identify it,

kind of why it happens, what it looks like. Okay, there's about, there's 10 points, 10 different

but these are by far like the really main ones that occur in a coercive controlling relationship.

And also it's really important to understand that coercive control is a form of domestic abuse.

Okay, I think a lot of us have this idea that a domestic abuse is physical abuse, but it extends way further than just physical abuse.

There are so many different kinds of domestic abuse that we need to acknowledge as being that

and we need to do something about that.

So let's get straight into the topic of today,

which is coercive control. So recently in Australia, there's been a lot of talks about coercive control and there, a lot of the state governments are pushing for this reform in domestic violence

laws. They want coercive control to be included as domestic violence.

I'm pretty sure that in most states it's not yet, but they're in the process of making it

illegal to the extent that the punishment can be up to seven years in prison for coercive control.

So it's, so yeah, several states are moving to introduce, like, much stricter bills

to make sure that domestic violence, the term domestic violence, encompasses a whole lot more

than just physical abuse, because there's obviously many forms of domestic violence and every
