It's very odd, and it's very kind of you to switch roles with me

and interview me about my book. Very kind.

Well, it is such an honor. And just to begin,

let's just say, this is, as you would expect, just such a sweet, rich and compelling book.

And we're going to get into it. But just to be able to talk a bit about, what were you hoping that the reader is going

to capture as they walk through this book?

My goal in writing, and this is my goal in anything that I make, is to move people.

And with this book, what I want to move people to do is to really two words,

curiosity and kindness about their life story.

And so it's really about inspiring movement in the reader to engage and ponder themselves as a boy

or as a girl, particularly in their family of origin from 0 to 18.

So my hope is that there would be increasing levels of curiosity and

kindness for the younger versions of the reader of the book. Yeah, well, it accomplishes as so many of the

endeavors. It captures something of the reality of what our story
