it was great to engage with our old pal, Pierce Morgan again, okay?

And I've told the story many times, but I used to be Pierce's boss, you know, when we were in Fleet Street.

He was head of the bizarre column. I was the executive editor, but he ran rings around me. He knew everybody and everything.

He brought these five boys into the building.

It's how they're going to be the biggest thing in the world of pop music.

And I threw them out because they just looked like a group of dancers.

And of course, it was take that, you know, including Robbie Williams and Gary, what's his name, Gary Barlow.

So it was great.

And of course, Piz is now famous all around the world.

I don't think there's anybody on the planet. He doesn't know, is there?

He's so connected, isn't he? I mean, he was always going places.

Oh, yes. Way back in Fleet Street when we were all a bunch of, you know, hacks kicking around.

Yes. There was always an air about Pe peers that his eye was on the next prize.
