| 0:30.0 | All right, welcome to episode 168. Hello my friend welcome to another episode of new mindset who this and today's episodes a good one. It definitely is a good one and it's something I'm really passionate about. |
| 1:00.0 | I think it's a fun topic and I think actually I'll describe it as being half fun half serious today's episode half healthy half entertaining it's like when you wear a really nice suit but then you just slap some sneakers on your feet. That's what it's like it's like a business and a party type scenario and you'll see why with this episode I say that and why I think actually that is how you should approach life. It's a business and party scenario business and a party business and pleasure 50 50 you know or |
| 1:30.0 | maybe 69 31 69 but seriously bottom line here is I think we need to loosen up a bit and I'll give you my perspective on why I say this and why it goes beyond just you know having a good time having a couple of laughs. I think the idea of loosening up being goofy |
| 1:49.0 | being carefree like permanently forever for your life is one of the most powerful things you could do for your own self growth so very excited to talk about this is a very me type topic and I'm excited to jump in for do that real quick I will just say I'll reiterate rather just how am I am to be releasing the new mindset journal I've been talking a lot about it but this is basically what I've been working on for the past 10 months the journal it's printed I ship it to you and I'm releasing it in only a couple of days. |
| 2:19.0 | You might be listening now and it's already out but regardless I'd love for you to check it out pick it up you can go to new mindset who this calm it'll show you the journal where you could pick it up right now if it's not out yet you could put a dollar down and that'll guarantee that you can get a copy that'll also give you a pretty pretty sick discount if I say so myself so check it out new mindset who this calm and thank you seriously thank you so much so many of you have already supported me on this mission so I really do appreciate that it makes it makes this so much more fun. |
| 2:49.0 | I want to know that you have my back there so check it out new mindset who this calm but for this episode I want to hop into it and I think I'll start with the business part here of the business party equation I'll start with the serious side the deeper aspect of this it's you know it's like eating your vegetables first I think my mom would be proud so here's really the foundation for why I want to talk about why I want to encourage you to be goofy in your life. |
| 3:19.0 | Why I think pushing yourself to be goofy is powerful so we don't why do I think you should be just a total goofball in your life I think having the willingness the vulnerability to strip yourself down and be goofy like truly goofy and wild and weird I think it's the ultimate reflection of someone who lives with an open heart with vulnerability and with courage. |
| 3:44.0 | That's it a willingness to be goofy no matter what means you live with an open heart vulnerability and courage and I say those three things specifically because I think those three things are the key to living an amazing life one that is fulfilling and creative and expressive and just filled with powerful perspective amazing people rewarding experiences living with an open heart living vulnerable and living courageously and I think the more you put your mind into it. |
| 4:14.0 | Push yourself to be goofy to joke to laugh to dance the more you'll find these filters and layers that you've let adulthood put on you you'll find them those restrictions those layers melt off and you'll be left with kind of how you once were when you were young open eager willing to be vulnerable willing to try new things. |
| 4:36.0 | That's kind of my thesis statement here that that's the vegetables of tonight's meal the case can he chef's choice menu I think I'm kind of hungry right now they can only think of food analogies but I'll expand on this I'll hop into the meat and potatoes of this of the meal I I watched a video the other day and I think I saw it on Reddit it was a time lapse that a guy had created of his daughter from the day she was born to the day that she turned 20. |
| 5:06.0 | Which is insane kudos to him for doing it kudos to her for putting up with it it was really cool he basically took a one second video of her in the same spot every day for 20 years and it was insanely cool one to see someone grow up was that's just incredible to see that. |
| 5:26.0 | But it was also incredible in a sense to watch that person change on a deeper level like I could see it in her eyes and her smile and just her just her the way she looked the way she held herself like as she got older seemed like she lost a little bit of that luster in her eyes sparkle in her eyes she smiled last she seemed a bit more serious. |
| 5:47.0 | And if you kept doing that through 20's I think it would have been even more noticeable and she wasn't like crying or frowning or anything like that but you could just see like the weight of growing up on her face in her eyes just the way she carried herself I can't really explain it but I saw that video and reminded me of something I think is so so true something I really believe in that's the fact that I think we all need to loosen up we really do. |
| 6:16.0 | Because otherwise we seriously let the world get to us and I think we deserve to be happier than that we deserve to live freely and not carry such weight around with us but of course I get that it's not easy though you know being an adult brings new responsibilities are way and that shit stressful you know we got a lot of our minds we let our jobs make us serious we let relationship issues can make us cold or not trust people are cynical we let failures make us in the world. |
| 6:46.0 | And I'm not that insecure like I get it you know your boy let's get to him too but but said but I've also learned very acutely and vividly that encouraging yourself to be a goofy silly person it helps you enjoy your life again it helps you live freely again and not just momentarily in those instances you know in those moments of you giggles with the boys or you know |
| 7:16.0 | when you're out getting chocolate wasted with the crew but like for as long as you push yourself to just loosen up and be a total goofball because to my point it makes you drop your guard and live with your heart and I really believe amazing things happen when you do that. |
| 7:32.0 | And of course it's not easy anything worthwhile rarely is so we really need to push ourselves to be this way and I've noticed this a lot I've noticed that we really need to be cognizant of this. |
| 7:45.0 | Like for example the other day I was in Minneapolis Minneapolis Minnesota the land of milk and honey and my brother and I were there and we were parking his car in this small parking garage downtown and there's a car next to him in this in this parking garage it's his residential spot. |
| 8:01.0 | And so it's like a two two spot area so these cars are always close and we had been in and out over the weekend and the car that car was always there and I was like I wonder whose car that is it'd be I was wonder like I want to put a face to the car. |
