Hello and a greasy warm welcome to episode 166 of regular features. My name's John Blythe, sitting opposite, and to my left is Matt Lees, opposite directly is Steve Hogarty, and further to the right is Gavin Hogarty. What the hell am I talking about? Never mind, just get straight on with it. Tell me what you've been up to, Steve. Sorry, can I say if Matt is drinking, like, from a bottle of whiskey? Yeah, guys. It's not even a brown paper back. There's not much left of it. There's barely a shot. No, that's part of the problem. There's a full bottle earlier. Are you all right? It's a podcast party. It's been a tough week. I've just done my tax returns. It's a freaky fawcum. It freaky foursum. It's been ages since it's been all four of us in a room without fucking loads of other people watching. I'd love to do some massive gesture with you all. There's a high five in the middle of all with the microphones in the way. Who destroy the microphone and the reader by extension? Who does the microphone think it is? It was like 200 people just dropped dead for no reason. Oh, actually, I'm going to do something right now before we forget and stick it awkwardly on the end. If you haven't already got a ticket and you're about, on December 7th, we've got a live show at the Canal Cafe Theatre. Yes, our monthly live show. It's monthly. It's 8 quid for a ticket, but it's like £1.50, if you've never been before, we kind

1:14.1

of realise we feel a bit about this.

1:14.7

There's a membership fee.

1:15.8

It's a membership fee.

1:16.8

So you do keep the car on if you can come again, because you'll want to come again.

1:19.8

It's great.

1:20.3

Monthly live shows at first Monday every month, part from January, because who was going to come on the first. Just to clarify, the membership fee is for the Canal Cafe Theatre.

1:28.1

We're not charging your membership fee. You're already part of our gang. Yeah. But we kind of felt a bit bad about that. And so what we've done is we've made it now. So we've all, I've had three of us are wearing them right bloody now. We've got regular features t-shirts on our hot buds. And we're selling them online on a shop. so if you don't live anywhere near the UK, then you can just buy one.

1:47.0

But if you're coming to a live show, then we're doing a great deal with it's like six quid off. So it basically means you get a live show and a t-shirt for 20 quid. That's amazing. So all you need to do is just book a ticket and then go on the website on patreon.com for slash regular features. we have a post about it. You just send us 10 quid in a PayPal email thing to regular features podcast at gmail.com. With the size you want and your name. And then maybe we'll send you a t-shirt because... No, they'll be able to get on the night. They'll be able to get on the night. They'll be the first people to have the regular features t-shirts other than the people in this room. It's so much more complicated than going to Squarespace and putting regular features into the coupon card box. No, it's not. But this is better because this is what's good about us running our own podcast is we can just do wherever we want. We can pass the savings on to you. Yeah, there you go, yeah. can do it on, no matter how complicated. It's great. It means we don't have to post it.

2:38.2

It means we don't have to post it. It means you can get it. The only thing is we're not allowed. The Canal Cafe Theatre says we're not allowed to sell stuff there. You can't sell merchandise at the Canal Cafe Theater. but you can give us money beforehand and we can give you things for free that's it so that's basically the loophole. So you want to do that, then you should.

2:52.5

Because 20 quid for a t-shirt and a live show,

2:54.5

obviously we'll keep doing it for a month to live shows for as long as we have t-shirts,

2:55.8

but they might sell out.

2:56.9

Who else does that? Kid Rock's not doing that, and he's not doing as good as we are. David Bowie did it for a short while during the 80s.

3:02.7

Ah, okay, yeah, but...

3:03.9

But you didn't know what the fuck he was doing.

3:06.0

That's actually where we got this model from.

3:07.7

Yeah, David Bowdo was actually running a merch store for, like, most of the 80s. but you didn't know what the fuck he was doing. That's actually where we got this model from.

3:11.6

Yeah, David Boney was actually running a merch store for like most of the 80s. On the pavements of the streets of Berlin.

3:14.8

Just had them spread out.

3:16.7

Like, are they real?

3:17.4

Yeah, they're real, mate.
