0:14.6	the Chinese could engage in a full-scale invasion of the island by 2025, which is obviously,
0:21.0	you know, in geopolitical terms tomorrow. And I think that we have to ask ourselves if you really
0:27.2	want to serve the interests of peace, and if you want to prevent these things from happening,
0:31.8	how do you do that? And do you do that by sticking your head in the sand and, you know,
0:37.5	pretending like you're not in a moment of major geopolitical tension, or do you do that by
0:44.4	leaning in on deterrence and actually preventing a very ambitious autocratic foreign government
0:50.5	from believing that it can actually, that it stands to win if it decided to try such an invasion.
0:59.5	And I think that we've tried, you know, the method of we called it engagement in the American
1:04.5	foreign policy community. We've tried, you know, the having a very collaborative approach.
1:10.0	And that got us a major military buildup on the Chinese side. It hasn't really worked out the way
