Hi this is Steve. Every once in a while I get a little let's say hyper focused on a particular idea.

Well maybe it's my desire to straighten out the actual timeline of Quint Tarantino's entirely non-sequential Pulp Fiction.

Maybe it's the need I had to go back through Fight Club and figure out what Marla Singer

and the members of Project Mayhem were actually experiencing when they hung out with Tyler Durden.

And naturally I wanted to understand what was really happening with our more unreliable characters

like Travis Bickle, Howard Beal, Jimmy Stewart,

and vertigo, and of course, the entire cast

of who's afraid of Virginia Wolf.

So it was natural enough when we tackled a modern noir

like Chinatown that tremendous ambiguity is what makes Chinatown such a compelling film.
