Summary

In today's episode of mailbox monday, we go over how to Overcome Gym Anxiety, Train Abs Every day & How To Maximize Your Workouts!
Kyle Quote: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right,” - Henry Ford
Josh quote: "you can not always wait for the perfect time, sometimes you must dare to jump.

Fun fact: The most common plastic surgery for men, is calf implants.

Questions:

  1. Can I train abs every day?
  2. Do workout plans need to be in order?
  3. I wanna start off first by saying thank you for all the great content you guys put out You have helped me fix my form and have given me so much motivation. I am 260lb female and I am trying to lose fat/weight. I started tracking my macros recently and I was curious. I take a post-workout that is fast-digesting carbs that are supposed to help with recovery and then a pre-workout before I work out. I have noticed that those have so many carbs the post-workout especially. Should I be tracking all of my supplements in my fitness pal? Thank you both for all your help you guys are amazing!
  4. If I am in an extreme rush and have limited time to work out, what parts of my workout should I cut out and how can I maximize my time?
  5. I have trouble going to the gym because I have a fear (perhaps irrational) that everyone is staring at and judging me? How can I overcome this?

Happy KG in the house. Happy KG. Why is KG happy? Just bought a new laptop MacBook 20, what is it, 2020?

0:16.5

This is 2020. 16 inch. Yeah, 16 inch. It's like fully loaded, you know, tons of space, 512 gigabytes for all of you, you know, laptop geeks out there. But, you know, I had to pull the trigger, you know. I had some issues for the last little while. And I've just been kind of like trying to get by. But, you know, it's the most janky computer in the world. So it was like complete. The exterior was like destroyed.

0:38.5

But, you know, we'd be chilling every two minutes.

0:40.8

We just shut off.

0:41.7

Yeah.

0:52.8

Like it wouldn't work. And, like, oh, shoot. You know, it's off. And then like the whole backlight to it would have no backlight. So it would just be dark. So you could hardly see it like. And then it's cracked. you can't even see like when I'm doing client check-ins or when I'm editing something,

0:55.8

it takes probably an extra 30 to 60 minutes because of that. And you know, obviously spending 3K on a computer is not like the best, but also at the end of the day, like, you know, we're growing in different ways. And I think I can serve all my clients better. I can make these podcasts better. I can make my videos better. And I'm just excited. So we wanted to share that fun little thing with you today and uh yeah

1:11.9

I'm pumped here's what's really cool the new um MacBook that Kyle has has an incredible um like it has

1:17.6

a studio quality microphone built in it so all of his audio is not from our nice 200 dollar road

1:23.7

microphone it's just from his laptop so hopefully it sounds as good as we're boosting it up to be.

1:28.1

We're trying it out today because we don't have the adapter, but we thought it'd be kind of cool to test us out. And the reason this is so big is like, you know, if we're ever limited and we don't have these microphones and we still want to get content out, he'll have the ability to do that. No problem. I mean, I might have to log around a microphone, but I think that's just, you know,

1:44.8

that's a really cool thing to do. And with the amount of issues that were there, it was definitely

1:47.9

time. So this is a big move through and through. And that's what inspired my quote today. My quote was, you can not always wait for the perfect time. Sometimes you just got to dare to jump. Jeez. And like, it's the same principle. As silly as it is, you know, it's a big thing.

2:02.4

It was an issue.

2:02.8

It was driving them nuts.

2:03.7

Sometimes it wouldn't connect to the internet.

2:04.9

Like it was, it was a big thing. And we actually have had this twice. Like when we started a Colossus, I got a nice computer for school. I enjoyed it. you know we were both quite broke i would argue um you know we weren't doing well we didn't have much

2:18.4

money you know we just had money from our summer jobs and i'm like Kyle you need to We were both quite broke, I would argue. You know, we weren't doing well.

2:17.7

We didn't have much money.

2:18.7

You know, we'd just have money from our summer jobs.

2:20.5

And I'm like, Kyle, you need to get a better computer. Like, this is how we're going to step it up. If we want to edit, at the time, I edited everything. He wasn't able to purely because his computer. You know, he made that investment over to the Mac. and the Macs done well to us.
