Hello, I'm Sean Curran, and this is today in Parliament from BBC Radio 4 for Tuesday, the 16th of September,

when the Conservative leader said Sekeir Stama had questions to answer about the appointment and dismissal of Peter

Mandelson. The Prime Minister needs to come clean about what he knew and when he knew it.

But a Foreign Office Minister defends Sekeir. The Prime Minister has acted decisively in response

to this new information, which is exactly what should have happened.

And as the Hillsborough law, placing a duty of candour on public officials is published,

an MP issues a warning to ministers.

This must not be another false start.

So can the Deputy Prime Minister promise me that this will be the hills below, that it will emerge stronger, not weaker from Parliament?

But first, the Conservative leader, Kemi Badnock, has called on the Prime Minister to apologise to victims of the paedophile Geoffrey Epstein for appointing Lord Mandelson as the UK's ambassador to the United States.

Peter Mandelson was sacked last week after emails were published, which showed he'd sent

supportive messages to Epstein in 2008. Taking part in an emergency debate about the appointment

and dismissal of the former ambassador,

Kemi Badenock accused Sakeir Stama of hiding from Parliament.

The Prime Minister needs to come clean about what he knew and when he knew it.

Not sent his junior ministers to cover for him.

The Prime Minister needs to publish the Mandelson-Epstein files in full.

The Prime Minister needs to take responsibility for the appointment of Lord Mandelson as ambassador

to Washington. But the Prime Minister, Mr Speaker, is not here because he is hiding from Parliament,

hiding from questions.
