It was a case I had in the Tucker County. I'm sitting there with my client and in

in those days it wasn't like that that many I think I was number nine out of the ninth black lawyer license by the state

It wasn't like a lot of like lawyers and I still had my big air flow stuff so you could tell that was black

So I'm sitting there and then the clerk calls out judge. I think the nigger lawyer from Montgomery's here and I think he wants to do his case. I look around because I can't believe somebody's calling me to Nick a lawyer, right? But I knew I didn't have a name, you know, I was, at least he called me the niggal lawyer.

The other ones just bark barked my name.

And for like the first three years,

there were only three judges who would call me by name.

Everybody else, this hey you, or they bark out something. or I was a nigger lawyer from Montgomery.

And so I came back, I was upset the first time that happened to me because I was blindsided by that, right?

I thought that I would have some respect in an official court proceeding,

and I come back and I tell Solomon, say, you're not going to bleed what Fred Posey just call me. He called me the niggel lawyer from Montgomery.

Solomon, Solomon starts laughing and he said, he said,

Donald, I'm sorry, I forgot to brief you, I forgot to brief you on that. He said, I hope it didn't upset you too much, but you did kill the witnesses off like we prevent you, do you?
