Okay, Audacity 3.2 is out.

Very excited.

It's the first time they have shipped an arm build for Mac.

Arm baby arm.

So actually, between Audacity and OBS, both shipping proper official arm builds in the last couple weeks, I have officially threaded the needle and never installed Rosetta 2 on that MacBook.

That's not what I'm here to talk about.

But like you, like, that's a big deal.

That means you have a fully functional laptop again.

This is exciting.

Well, it was 90% functional already.

Yeah, but like for somebody who records podcasts with audacity, not having audacity running,

a little bit of a hassle.

Look, the rogue amoeba folks have fixed me up just fine. But the thing I was here to discuss,

oh no, is download pages for software. Yeah. You know what I don't like? I wouldn't dare to guess is well,

look, let me rephrase this. 90% of the time, it's fine. Okay. But the default posture of most software download pages these days, which is to auto select your OS and then just start downloading the install file they think you want. Yeah. Like once in a while, that's kind of annoying. Like, for example, when I use this Windows machine to go to Audacity and see if that arm build is available, and they just start downloading an installer for the Windows version that I don't know.
