Well, that annual tradition has come again.

It's give your money to Apple Day.

So my favorite part when I quit working at tested in 2015 was that I never had to wait in line and deal with the internet bullshit or get in line at an Apple store on the morning at 2 o'clock in the morning or any of that stuff to get a new iPhone again.

And here I am.

Old habits die hard, right? I didn't realize there were that many permutations of the process over the years. I guess it did start with physically

having to go get in line, right? It used to be that on the Friday that it came out, you went and

got in line at like, I mean, usually Gary or Norm and I would get in line at like 11 o'clock at night. And then we'd sit there in lawn chairs with sleeping bags until 6 o'clock in the morning when

they brought coffee around, which was nice.

Like the Apple store people would bring a Starbucks, like a Starbucks tray and hand people

Danishes and coffee, which was nice when you're spending $600 on a phone.

Well, hey, you know, when you're a like $2.5 trillion company, you could probably afford a little coffee for people.

Yeah. Yeah. But then, then I think the 4S, I think, was the first time they did an on sale thing, a digital thing. And then it just delivered. I believe I could be wrong. But I think that was the year we did the first October

cast and they arrived while we were midway through that show. Oh, what a great stunt for your

24 hour podcast. Like, I had new iPhones. It was fantastic. It killed a whole hour. It was great.

A whole fascinating hour of three dudes just heads down staring at the phone and occasionally saying, cool.

Well, look, it was mostly Gary and me trying to get Siri to say curse words for a pretty good length of time.

That's good content.

And then, yeah, but so anyway, I got up this morning at five.
