Summary
Why are we so hard on ourselves?
-
Do you beat yourself up?
-
Do you rehearse what you should've, could've or would've done (fill in the blank)
-
Do you feel like you're failing yourself every day?
In your quiet moments, stop and reflect on this question: am I really failing or am I not living up to a standard that someone else made for me?
>Sweet Friend – what extreme expectation or missed opportunity has a grip on you?<
Your inner dialogue is the steering wheel of your life, and like Carrie Underwood's song says, Jesus take the wheel.
In our world, it's valued to be a perfectionist like when people say things like, 'oh you're too hard on yourself or you're your worst critic', but it's not healthy to be hard on yourself or be your own worst critic.
Because here's the truth...whatever makes you doubt or question your worth has the ability to rob you, so take your power back!
Take all the negative self-talk, criticism and remember it's nailed to the cross. It won't do you one bit of good to beat yourself up, although it's easier said than done.
Intentionally choose to say this... Because He is enough, I will always be enough.
I have a saying, and I smile every time I say it,
In Jesus you have all the likes you need… feel free to share that!
Okay now you know I'm never going to leave you without asking you to get into action…nothing happens without action.
So it's about that time!
