Alright, 15 and 60 on a Monday night for once and we've got a lot to get to here.

Gonna try and be a little stricter so it doesn't take us two hours and 45 minutes to record

just for our own sanity here. But let's get started with the Dallas Mavericks.

They sit at 20 and 23, 3 and 5 in their last 8. Negative 0.3 net rating is 19th in the NBA.

18th ranked offense. I think that's a little bit of a disappointment to me. 16th ranked defense,

I think, in their personnel is pretty good. They project for 36 wins, which should be

amazingly enough 14th in the conference right now. Only 4% chance at the playoffs at this point in time.

And big news for Wode shortly before we recorded. According to Wode, quote,

the Mavericks are escalating discussions to find a trade for tennis Smith Jr., which is something

that we've talked about, that we'd heard at the Julie Showcase Stein reported that earlier.

Phoenix and Orlando have engaged in ongoing talks with the Mavs. Smith Jr. has sat out three

straight games with what the team has served, termed a sore back. And then Wode's article

talked about how Carlisle and Smith has struggled to find common ground. Luke Adonchich is now the

apple of their eye. I still think that Smith is not in basketball terms a terrible fit with

Adonchich, but it seems like this is even more potentially a personality issue. And that was

something that Smith was rumored to have some difficulties with at NC State also struggled with

injury. Some nothing major, but enough that I think it's retarded his development to some degree.

So what's the price for this guy if you're the Mavs?

Oof, it's tough because Dallas, their future is brighter than their present. I mean,

they're protected to win 36 wins, which I think would be would be impressive considering,

you know, even though last year there was some, you know, bad luck, some negative points

differential stuff in there or negative, sorry, negative relative to point differential in there.
