Summary

Neil Allman was my very first strength coach in 2010. He believed in me before I believed in myself, and mentored me through my first CrossFit Coaching position. He taught me that hard work and curiosity can get you to the goals you want to accomplish, and I consider him one of THE BEST coaches there is. Although the audio is nowhere near perfect, I hope you enjoy my episode with one of my favorite people in the world as we talk about program design, gaining weight while aiming for strength, and when to start kids weightlifting! Welcome back. This is M-Fit Radio. I have, I just told you this, but when I think of how I got into my journey of strength, not just like good in gym class strong, but like really focusing on technique and utilizing my body as a machine, I think of you because you are the one who got me into this.

And I was like, what is this CrossFit thing?

Some video clip showed up of three women doing Fran, and one lady started crying.

And I was like, I have to sign up.

This is amazing.

So I Googled the CrossFit gyms in the area, and you were the first time I called, and you were half a mile away from my work, and you answered right away, and I think I went to class that day. Yeah. That was such a fortunate meetup that you just got right in. It's so nice when people come into the gym, like, ready. They're, like, they're there to learn and be receptive.
