Welcome to the perfume room. My scent of the day today is from Profumroma. It is an Oswald

exclusive and it is called Frechia 1921. So I was in Oswald today. I was looking around. I was honestly

kind of feeling overwhelmed because I had been in a few perfume stores in that like Elizabeth

Street, No Lita area. And one thing I just want to say is like if you are ever in a perfume store and

you feel like you cannot smell anything, same. This happens to me too. Highly, highly recommend as long as like the store is cool with it. Identify like the few that you think are your favorite, even if it's like hard for you to smell. Like even if it's just like, I don't know, the three cents you like most of everything you're smelling. Spray them on a blotter or spray them on your arm and step outside. You need to smell these outside because if you smell them in the store, I mean, if you can smell them, you know, more power to you. But I certainly struggle in those scenarios. Anyway, I was in Oswald. I saw Fretia in 1921. I was like, ooh, a Frisia scent. I got so excited. Picked it up. And in fact, it's not a friecer scent at all.

I don't think Fretia has anything to do with the word Frisia, but, you know, I'm like, ooh, I don't know Italian, so this must be Frisia and Italian. Anyway, what it does smell like is this, like, almond-y, marshmallow-y, like, light, fluffy, puffy, pormand. It's so, so lovely. if you like sort of like that like pillowy, marshmallowy kind of like airiness in a gourmand, you will love this one. And again, it has like a sort of

powdery feel from like heliotrope, almond, vanilla. It's just, it's a delight. And this is one

that when I smelled it in store, I was like,

I think I like this. And then I stepped outside and I was like, oh, no, I love this. The inspiration

of the scent is also kind of a beautiful story. So as you heard, 1921 is in the title, which is the year

that Oswald was founded. It's a perfumery that's over a hundred years old. And Frechia in 1921 is meant to pay homage

to the very first fragrance ever created by Oswald. And the story has it that the founder, Boris

Dryding, had sewed the recipe for his almond hand cream, which was called Arrow, into his jacket

pocket when he escaped from

Moldova. And so, Fretia 1921 is inspired by Arrow. Well, I'm really glad we can experience

this moment together. I was like, wow, maybe Fretia means arrow. I should Google that. And I just

did, and Fretia does indeed mean Ero. So again, no relation to

Frisia, but Fretia is the Italian word for Ero, which was the first hand cream from Oswald.

Beautiful scent, beautiful story. I think I might go get a full bottle of this one.
