Welcome to the perfume room. My send of the day today is the newest launch from Mark Antoine

Berra and that is Tilia. So if you recall that solo episode that I did a few months back where I recap my

Portugal trip and all the perfumes that I smelled along the way, you might remember that this

was one of the perfumes I talked about. And what I said about Tilia then was that the opening

blew me away, like such a standout scent among so many niche perfumes that I was smelling. So I sprayed it on skin when I was

in embassy. That's where I smelled it. And the dry down like an hour or so later is just kind of like,

whatever. But to be fair, I did like one spray and I had things like all up and down my arm.

So I was like, I have to retest this because this is just like absolutely

not a fair evaluation whatsoever. And I am so glad I did. Twisted Lily generously sent me a

sample of this and I have been wearing it all weekend. What was so interesting to me about the

opening then and still is now is that Tilia totally has that like overdosed synthetic molecular

signature thing that I find so many Khantombiche fragrances have and more specifically that all

Mark Antoine-Berwa sense have and I should have said this before but I'm saying this because

contombish is the perfumer for all Mark Antoine Berwa sons.

So imagine that feeling, that overdosed synthetic feeling that you might know from

another Mark Antoine Berwasant.

But in like a tinkerbell font, Tilia is sparkly.

It strikes such a good balance of like that avant-garde futuristic signature and a

classic French structured floral bouquet. Actually, okay, as I'm thinking about this right now,

this is definitely a hot take, but you know what it kind of feels like? I mean, not that it smells

the same, but it also, as I'm saying this, it doesn't smell like 100% different either, okay? It kind of feels like it could be a 2024 descendant

of Mugler Alien. It's as distinct and powerful and floral and modern and novel for its time
